Walnuts

Walnuts are nutrient-dense and chock-full of compounds that can help reduce the inflammation connected to joint disease. Some studies suggest that consuming walnuts regularly might be associated with decreased markers of inflammation.

In fact, a study involving over 5,000 individuals also found that more routine consumption of nuts, walnuts included, was associated with reduced markers of inflammation.

This arthritis-friendly food is also exceptionally high in alpha-linolenic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid found mainly in plant foods.

While omega-3 fatty acids have been known to lower inflammation and relieve symptoms of arthritis, most research has focused on the effects of other omega-3 fatty acids, like eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid.

So, more studies are required to understand the potential impact of walnuts.
