Did you know that obesity is one of the most common causes of lower back pain? Having multiple extra pounds is definitely not healthy for your body or your brain, and your lower back won’t be happy with that either.
Being overweight is normally linked to different types of chronic pain, and that’s because those extra pounds add pressure and stress to your joints and spine. If you have too much belly fat, for instance, your lower back and your pelvis are more likely to slant forward. This is going to create an arch in your back, and it’s going to cause you excessive amounts of physical pain.
Other than that, the higher your body mass index is, the more stress will be put on your spine, which means more wear and tear and more pain coming your way.
