Garlic
Garlic is chock-full of health benefits. Supplementing with this arthritis-friendly food has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect that can help reduce symptoms of arthritis.
A study of 70 women with active arthritis found that those who took a 1,000mg dose of a garlic supplement for eight weeks saw blood markers for the disease decline. They also experienced a drop in joint pain and their condition activity score.
In other studies, researchers found that taking 1,000mg of garlic in a tablet form daily can help reduce the symptoms of knee osteoarthritis and relieve pain and inflammation.
Adding whole garlic to your meals might also benefit arthritis symptoms. However, there has been less research on the significance of eating garlic rather than taking supplements.
