Forest bathing benefit: Improves mood and alleviates anxiety
A study performed in Taiwan of 128 men measured shifts in the autonomic nervous system and emotions after a brief forest bathing experience.
Many forest bathing benefits were seen, such as anger-hostility, reduced scores for tension-anxiety, depression-dejection, fatigue-inertia, and confusion-bewilderment.
On top of this, increased scores were seen for the positive mood subscale of vigor-activity, and participants showed significantly reduced anxiety levels per the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory.
