3. Low-fat milk
Next on our list of the worst beverages for your health is low-fat milk. This piece of information may seem a bit strange since we’ve been told for years to choose non-fat or low-fat dairy products over full-fat dairy.
However, recent studies are bringing these dietary recommendations into question. Research indicates that people who consume high-fat dairy products actually have a lower risk of obesity and diabetes. Studies also suggest that when people focus primarily on limiting fat intake, they tend to increase their consumption of carbohydrates and sugars, which the body converts into body fat.
Experts point out that some dietary fat is necessary for certain body functions and for the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins. This being said, rather than focusing on choosing low-fat milk products, aim to consume whole foods that are as close to their natural form as possible.
