1. Soda
It shouldn’t surprise anyone that soda is one of the worst beverages for your health. Nevertheless, most of us still choose to have a can of soda more often than we should. Whether you’re drinking regular or diet, this beverage has been linked to weight gain and even an increased risk of heart disease.
Diet soda is packed with chemicals such as artificial sweeteners. While it contains fewer calories than regular soda, recent studies have shown that the consumption of artificial sweeteners can increase the risk of dementia and stroke.
Regular soda contains huge amounts of sugar, calories, and corn syrup, making it one of the worst beverages for your health. It has also long been associated with heart diseases, diabetes, obesity, weak bones, and other weight-related conditions.
If you can’t give up on drinking soda, make an effort to cut back and find healthier alternatives (make sure those alternatives aren’t “fake health drinks”).
