4. Frequent urination
Polyuria, also known as frequent urination, might be another one of the prediabetes signs, and it is also associated with polydipsia, or excessive thirst.
Polyuria appears when there is excess glucose in the blood. The body will need more water to pull it from the intestines and use it to eliminate the excess sugar. This will force your kidneys to work so much harder and will also make you feel more thirsty and drink more water.
When your body processes the sugar, not all of it can be filtered or absorbed, and because of this, it will be eliminated through urine. When you have high levels of sugar in your urine, it is called glycosuria or glucosuria.
