Foods to avoid if you have gallbladder issues 1: Fatty or processed meats
When it comes to foods to avoid if you have gallbladder issues, it all comes down to foods that are rich in fat. These are the main foods you need to avoid. Fat can be good, but when you have gallbladder stones or any other gallbladder problem, these foods can trigger your symptoms.
We know that meat is an excellent source of protein, and many people can’t have a meal without it. But fatty meats such as pork or lamb can truly cause you trouble. These meats, along with processed meats, are high in saturated fats, and besides being bad for your gallbladder, they can also increase the amount of LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol).
Processed meats include bacon, salami, ham sausages, and any other processed meat. We know that they are delicious, but they are not the best if you have gallbladder issues.
Instead of fatty and processed meats, you can still get your protein from chicken and turkey, which are lower in fat and also lower in saturated fat.
