Lung Cancer
Unfortunately, over half of the individuals who get this aggressive cancer type are more than 70 years old. But even though there have been many advances in treating lung cancer, it remains one of the deadliest cancers known to man. The 5-year survival rate is a mere 21%.
And studies show that more than 235,000 people were diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020. Out of those, 131,000 people passed away from the disease. So, it’s vital for seniors to get routine lung cancer screenings if they smoke or smoked for over 30 years before quitting.
Doctors can use CT scans to look at your lungs and detect any signs of this disease. The good news is that there have been quite a few new treatments for this aggressive cancer type in recent years called targeted therapies.
Certain medicines are used that specifically target cancerous cells. This is different than the traditional chemotherapies, which can impact healthy cells and many other parts of the body. So, if you have lung cancer, be sure to talk about your treatment options with your physician.

Colon cancer preventable, eh? WITH INSURANCE, our quoted share for a screen was $1800 dollars! OUR SHARE WITH INSURANCE! We noticed that now it is required that it be done in a FACILITY (triggering a “facility chg”); anesthesia (anesthesia chg + anesthesiologist) and 1 other I can remember. These used to be done in a doc’s office. They gave u 1 pill to relax u, & u could watch the whole thing being done on the screen.
Inflated prices, unnecessary rules, & ppl with insurance paying for those without.
So how many of u are rushing out to pay for ur $1800 roto rooter check?
AI in the help to cure cancer. It looks like human life’s biggest problem and should be using AI immediately.
I was diagnosis with endometrial cancer and had the proverbial surgery (stage 3). All I was told was “we have a lot of work to do” – no explanation of what was or is – see me in 3 weeks (which I only got to see his nurse). I had to wait 5-6 week before I could get an answer if this was fatal or not. SO NEVER BELIEVE WHAT YOU SEE ON TV OR READ. I had to do my own research on treatments/cancer/etc. there was no compassion, etc. The medical end of this diagnosis sucks. You are on your own. Was even told KEYTO was part of the treatment because the “advertisement says so”. What a way to go.
